Expressing a thought or a sensation in Mixed Media has always been an ecstatic experience for me. I often use oils and acrylics with finer detailing in inks. Playing with textures while painting, transports me to a different realm of expression.

Shiva's long, matted tresses, usually piled up in a knot, loosen during the dance and crash into the heavenly bodies. The stoic face of Shiva represents his neutrality, thus being in balance. |  Mixed Feelings, 50x70 cmThis painting is an attempt to depict the duality, indicated by the sun and the moon, day and night…. of every situation a woman finds herself in, despite being empowered with education. She has both rigidity and fluidity in her ever expanding roles everywhere. Aware of this duality, she makes her choices at every step, often with mixed feelings, yet has the poise and grace to carry it all in her stride to keep going. |

Wasn’t this clearly her own before … Her heart now wants to expand into the sea, A heart that can hold the ocean of serenity, Yes, it is the shell that encloses her in a form, But it also has a secret locked up, uniquely her own ! She heard it !!!
